A lighter & darker side; don’t get ill.
I wash my hands & face often,
what, with all the hygiene fears.
But it really feels great,
when I wash behind the ears.
I try to eat smart,
with health,
heavy on the mind.
These troubles will sure to disappear,
Remaining sane,
and staying the long, long line.
So I work hard to play it safe,
and pay attention
with whom I ride.
Learned just today,
last weeks ride partner,
got a high fever and later died.
I miss my friend,
and miss the smiles,
as the photos surely show,
Those memories were put away now,
as i ponder...
what a bummer; what a low.
My ride too, has gone as far as it can,
just as far as it can go.
i wish there was a next time,
but sad to say, it just ain’t so.

Better to go out fighting than to dispatch yourself with the handiest noisemaker, as a friend of mine did. Nice guy and a talented mechanic and rider, messy end.

So sad. My mother was 10 years old in 1918, said almost every family was touched, not to mention ww1. Many of us are going be hurt but most of us will live. Follow the rules and limit the spread.
