yeah, the mayor of Sturgis said they are coming weather we are setting up for them or not so we might as well just go with it?!
Funny thing about the rally is 1/2 the people that live in the area would rather NEVER have it.

The bikers I have always encounter on my bicycle would give a nod of approval even known I’m not one of them. I guess it’s being on 2 wheels. Personally I wouldn’t take that risk right now. Cruised the Mickelson Trail a few times a few days before the rally and the motorcycles were starting to arrive. I guess the rebellious attitude of being a free biker is the call. I can understand that but I think I will behave and wear my KISS Destroyer mask and play it safe.

Real bikers get a pass. Not like a real biker has a lot of health care money to try and cure STDs, liver disease, gunshot wounds, etc.
Now those dressed up bikers with high paying professional jobs back home, that's something different entirely. Ought to build a fence around Sturgis and make everyone stay there for a few months before being released.
I have two in-laws that rode to Sturgis this year and they fall in the high paying professional category. I gotta keep clear of them for a long time when they return this Sunday.

Yeah, I don't know what to think about the cosplay bikers doing Sturgis. They might actually be more dangerous, more likely to interact with a more diverse network of people back home, more likely to spread the super cooties. "Real" bikers tend to be an insular culture, less likely to interact with a complex network of people.
