That is nonsense. The virus can remain detectable for a considerable time in laboratory conditions. There is no evidence that infectious doses can be transmitted long distances by air like dust from volcanoes. There is enough false information about this pandemic being promoted without adding more.

I kept my 2020 concert tickets for rescheduled 2021 dates. If I have to wait until 2022 so be it. I just hope my favorite bands are still alive

It might be the end for remdesivir as a treatment for covid.

Open discussion also includes refutation of groundless speculation and even telling people they probably shouldn't invent things to worry about when the reality is bad enough already.
This is a pet peeve of mine--people who claim free expression forbids criticism of their own posts..

Making a vaccine for COVID-19
https://www.csiro.au/en/Showcase/COVID-19-vaccine
This explains how it's done and shows that it could be quite a while yet. I wouldn't start holding your breath now. Give it another 6 months or so.

CSIRO scientists publish new research on SARS-COV-2 virus ‘survivability’

"COVID-19 causing virus lasts for 10 days longer than Influenza on some surfaces. Lower temps, glass, stainless steel and paper banknotes give virus longer life."

And there's no guarantee that a vaccine is even possible. Unfortunately, there's growing evidence that post-recovery immunity from the virus is short-lived, and that reinfection is occurring "in the wild".

Well, here in the U.S., this has gone so well that I expect we'll all have a vaccine any day now. Ummm, yeah.
A good friend is in the business (vaccines) and the beer conversation is priceless. He refers to "making the chicken soup" when he talks about production and all the challenges they face. He talks about "arms" when discussing the clinical trials, like getting 30,000 arms and 1,000,000 needles. He talks about "working the bench" when the researchers are in the lab. My personal favorite is "often times, even though your sister has Mom's soup recipe, and follows it exactly, for some reason it doesn't taste like Mom's." Scaling up production is tough, really tough, and it takes time. Just hope they don't need a -80 degree cold-chain deployment into every rural county of the U.S. Healthy 40-yr old with no comorbidities? Take a number, we'll call ya.

Don't mind critique, even criticisms. It's one of the more useful aspects of dialog. Mind labels and accusations that are baseless, though, and will refute them as such.

Was accused of rumor-mongering and providing false info, but was doing nothing of the sort. Replied as such.

You're not even right about what you were accused of.

False. Thank you for playing.
Accusation of "promotion of false information" is how it was phrased. Reading comprehension doesn't seem to be what it once was, does it.
Provision of such. Passing it along. Rumor-mongering, which that is. Same thing, basically.
Got it now?

Your ploy here is to paraphrase the allegation into a strawman. Not playing along.
You made up the possibility of clouds of virus blowing from town to town. It was a ridiculous assertion. Own it.

I have True Information: Texas has many Beer Clouds but they don’t travel from town to town. The actual town produces their own beer cloud. Very interesting phenomenon that must be studied. Many people purchase of 12 pack of their favorite beer and start drinking. When 75% of the citizens are what us Beer Cloud scientists refer to as drunk. A strange cloud like mist covers the whole town and surrounding areas. But early the next morning a smell of hot coffee takes over so a new study is being done but funding is limited.

There are related downstream events. Literally. Typically amber in hue.

Yesterday, I had the first hope that the above comment will not age well.
One time where I really want to be refuted by reality.
