Same age as a family member who still seems to be in denial about the pandemic.
There doesn't seem to be any way to get through to people who conflate merciless mother nature with partisan politics.

By what criteria?
Letlow leaves behind a wife and two small children.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi paid him tribute as well: “Congressman-elect Letlow was a ninth-generation Louisianan who fought passionately for his point of view and dedicated his life to public service. As the House grieves Congressman-elect Letlow’s passing, our sorrow is compounded by the grief of so many other families who have also suffered lives cut short by this terrible virus. May it be a comfort to Luke’s wife Julia and their children Jeremiah and Jacqueline that so many mourn their loss and are praying for them at this sad time.”

Out of curiosity, I looked at his twitter page and sure enough, picture after picture of him at indoor events without a mask, and with his arms around unmasked supporters both inside and outside not wearing a mask.

He had no underlying conditions and died from a heart attack after a procedure related to the infection.

It's strange that he found out on the 18th, started self-quarantining and the very next day he entered the hospital.

Im not suggesting anyone here has insider info, but how the guy died definitely wasnt clear in the initial article.
Also to be clear- i am not claiming a heart attack killed him and covid didnt. I am not trying to parse anything. If you get pnemonia with aids, you died from aids. I get it and that can apply here.

They don't give all the details but he made an announcement that he tested positive on the 18th and was having symptoms. It's reasonable to assume that he'd been having symptoms for a while and as a result of the symptoms decided to get tested prior to the 18th. He received the positive result on the 18th but would have contracted Covid a number of days before.

Sorry would not say even this guy dying as good. COVID-19 can take out anyone and I don't want to get it so the fewer people who die and get infected the better. There are plenty of people I truly don't like and wish to not exist anymore (a certain far right terrorist gang who are proud for instance) but COVID-19 is not how I want it to happen as it could increase the risk of many many many many many many other people I do like or at least don't mind existing or don't like but not to the point of wishing them dead.
From the little I had read he generally wore a mask and sanitized but also saw a campaign photo where he wasn't and none of the people around him were either. Regardless of his potential stupidity we need to end COVID now and do our part. Wear the damn mask, wash your damn hands and stay the heck away from people if you can.

I'm bummed that he died from complications possibly related to Covid19. But I dunno how anyone who's looked at pics of him from the last two months could have expected him not to contract Covid19

Redneck neighbors that moved but still have property here that I take care of because that is what we do . Very nice people, hard working and all. Contracted COVID-19 at their new residence. Being care free and reckless not wearing masks and gathering with others etc etc . Got the call they caught COVID-19 confirmed by a test and so far they are ok with fever but not much else so far. So when it hits close to you it becomes very real. These are upper middle class folks that drank the Koolaid and got infected. They are in their 60s and in decent shape so I hope they shake it off.

Guy who denies COVID, holds meetings and rallies without a mask--and demands everyone else return to work for the sake of his 401K.....dies of COVID.
Yea. Not a tear.
