06 bianchi cross concept good deal?

Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

That's a good bike at a not-great price. I'd shoot for $150 less, or get the seller to throw in some extras. Ensure that the bike is fully tuned and ready to go.

That said, this Bianchi seems like a legit race-able 'cross bike for someone getting into the sport. It's much cheaper than a brand new bike, and better than lots of the used ones.

If it fits, then settle on a price and ride the hell out of it.

In this thread, they suggest $750 or less for that Bianchi.

I'd start the haggle at $650 and not go higher than $800. (And $800 only if I really liked it). It may be Ultegra, but Ultegra of then is sort of the Tiagra of now. The frame is nice, but don't think carbon stays and scandium aluminum puts it on the level of a full carbon bike. That's 90% marketing features, and there's a reason you don't see carbon stays or scandium aluminum on 2015 lineups.

Pricey for a 9-year old bike, even at that low mileage.
