Notices
Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

GT apparently has discontinued road bikes in favor of its Grade line up.

Yes it sucks they dropped the GTR series, i love my 2011 GT GTR and would love to see new models but the Grade is rad, im building a StansNotubes setup for my grade with some road tires to see if i can make this an all purpose bike with just swapping wheelsets

I guess it made no sense to keep two separate lines of bikes on hand when people are buying it a do it all bike. And you can simply swap wheelsets or ride on the stock tires on the road. When you want to ride off road, simply install fatter tires.

Dorel has both Cannondale and GT, with C'dale having the bigger road following, it seem logical for them to keep the road bikes in that line. GT has always been a mountain bike company, with forays into road. The Grade has enough mountain bike lineage to keep it with GT. Well, that's my theory anyway. I have had my 105 Carbon Grade for a few weeks now, and will have to agree with you, the idea of getting another wheelset for it might negate also having my road bike.

My demo Grade showed up yesterday. Metallic paint really pops in sunlight.
