Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like :The Dirty Kanza". My upgraded Grade

No more Tiagra grade for me. It's now a 105/ Ultegra grade! Very happy with the switch. It shifts noticeably smoother, with a more positive engagement feeling. The best part is that I already had the 105/ Ulterga shifters and derailers. I also added to cross top levers as I ride on the top of the bar quite often and live in an urban area. It's nice to have the brakes there. Ok time to ride it and break everything in.

Congratulations on your new Grade!

There is nothing wrong with Tiagra - its a fine Shimano road groupset and I have it on my adventure bike.

Nice! My Grade is 105 (5800) equipped and I liked it so much that I bought the same group for my road bike.

Yup. My old road bike had a full Tiagra group, and it was pretty good. But the 105 on my CAADX is a little better in terms of smoothness and shifting speed.

I had a bad experience with it, multiple mechanics spent many hours trying to tune it, swapped out cables, all to little avail. Maybe I had a lemon!?!

I haven't heard anything but praise about the Tiagra group.

Its a budget value roadset gruppo. I've found it to be smooth and reliable.

It's on my smartphone but I don't know how to get it from there to a post. If someone could tell me I would happily post some pics.

Save it somewhere on your computer, or a website such as dropbox or drive. If you put it on a website, make sure you share it.

Upload it here with the 'insert image' button, 3rd from the right, in the reply box. Select URL if you have it on a site. Select from my computer otherwise.

If you get a warning that the image is too large, resize it. That is far easier done on a computer than a smartphone.

Thanks! Thinking of getting a white charge scoop seat as the stock one makes me numb after a while

I like it very much. The GT seatstay design really sets it apart and complements the all-purpose, no nonsense, qualities I love in the gravel style.

BTW, I don't think I could get a hair closer to the bike in that third pic! Haha

Without a doubt, a white saddle will go better with the bike in general. Or at least something that has more white then black.
