How are the Schwalbe G One tires?

So, I need to select a tire for my gravel build, and am looking at the G One. My riding will be a lot of pavement on the way to gravel, and then roads that are pretty hardpacked, with a little gravel, and lots of hills. These are tubeless, and seem like a pretty solid choice, but having never used a gravel tire, I have no idea from experience. Any opinions on these? Would I be better served with 35c or 38c?

they are really good. If you're running on a lot of road and hardpack, I'd probably go with the 35's. But I have built a few bikes with these and they seem really nice. Haven't had them long enough to speak to longevity, but a good all around "gravel" tire

Thanks for the info. I will probably order a set of the 35's, and give them a shot. I mean, they can't be BAD right? Gotta start somewhere.

I run the S-One for pavement and hardpack, and would recommend the same to others if going fast on pavement and hardpack is a priority.

On a wide rim, getting volume like a 35c is no problem; on my 18.1mm internals, they plump out like 32s. A 20mm bsw rim, like Velocity Aileron, they'd be pretty supreme.
