Anyone done Tour of the Heifers?

Notices
Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Anyone done Tour of the Heifers?

Anyone done Tour of the Heifers?

Thinking about doing this for my first real gravel ride. I'm trying to figure out what type of tires would be best for this route.. at the moment I have my Michalin Mud2 CX tires that i use for CX and 28mm road tires that i use for the winter. I'm also considering getting myself a set of file treads for this (and dry/hard cx)

I'm a small climber type person so the elevation looks evil but do-able. could be fun

Ok... How about something similar like D2R2? 28mm slicks? 30mm file tread?

Dude 28's are useless for anything but smooth roads and dirt..I use them on my psuedo CX road bike and love them to smooth out the paved to sem paved road....I tried on dirty trails and they SUX go larger

Ok, so 30-32mm file tread might be the way to go. the Mud2's might be overkill
