Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like :The Dirty Kanza". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

no idea how to share a tcx or gpx file on here. i tried upload attaching and it failed. this is an open link to the route with an option to turn it into a tcx or gpx.
Thank you sir, that worked like a charm!

That landscape is fake. You parked your bike in front of a painting or something.

Admit it.

In the background, Mt Stuart is the pointy one, and the nearby mountains are The Enchantment Range. And then the trees, that's our fall color.

It was a 100 mile drive each way for that ride. I enjoy getting out of the city and riding with great views and being surrounded by nature for a few hours, that's really a huge draw for me for gravel riding. But I also make a point of going places where I can get pics for the gravel ride thread. Thanks for starting it!

BluesDawg I had this ride on my radar after seeing this you can count me in next year. I know they had 2 50 mile rides that weekend. Did you do the other 50 mile ride?

I had originally planned to work a rest stop on the more race oriented Sac O Suds on Saturday, but I had to back out on that so I could drive my parents to a family reunion. FG50 is one of my favorite events of the year. Piedmont NWR is always a great place to ride, but especially this time of year. The Sac O Suds route is on some great roads, too, but I'd rather ride it with a small group of casual riders than on a race day. Sometimes we extend the route to include a ride through parts of the nearby Dauset Trails MTB trails.

When are you going to ride it?

I missed it because my wheel was out for repair but I'd sure like to go down there and try the route.

GLCP land.

Our former Governor, George "Sonny" Perdue loved the land and was a great supporter of farmers and land conservation. He is now the US Secretary of Agriculture. Unlike some of the other secretaries, his appointment was entirely appropriate.

Another shot of the area. I think I've posted this before.

Giant Revolt

My first gravel bike. Been using it for casual fire road riding in So Cal. Thinking about converting to flat bar later.
