- carbon 4za wheels on DT Swiss 240s hubs
- SRAM Force shifters / brakes
- SRAM Rival derailleur and cranks
- carbon seatpost + carbon handlebars by Deda
Rides like hell! Have to slow down even in climbs, thats how fast this damned thing is

I just swapped the 170.5 crankset for 165. Kept the same 46/30 gearing and swapped the BB also.
Best move I have made in the fit of the bike.
Frank.

I just replaced the dropper post that came with my (used) gravel bike with a Niner RDO carbon seatpost. I don't need a dropper on my gravel bike 99.9% of the time, and it was heavy and jarringly stiff. The Niner post is designed to flex and absorb vibration. You can definitely feel it flexing, which is a bit unnerving at first, but I got used to it after a while, and it is definitely a comfort upgrade on a long ride. Also saved about 350 grams or so. If anyone is interested, the Niner is currently on sale at levelninesports -- marked down from $199 to $70, which is a great price.

Thanks for the heads-up. I just picked up the Niner RDO setapost. That is a great price and if you add the code SNOWALERT you save another $10 for $60 shipped. Hope it will help smooth out my ride a bit.

That is a heck of a deal. If it came in 27.2 I would for sure give it a try.

The logos are cool. The blue one in Cannondale style font is really neat.
When I see 'chaadster' I often chuckle since where I grew up, 'chad' became an insult back 25 years ago in HS.

I just picked up a new wheelset.
Light Bicycle Falcon Pro - WR38 Disc - 24H - Hooked Tubeless:
The tire profile (38mm Specialized Pathfinder Pro) is a bit wider (visually) because of the wider internal width (25 mm). It's hard to be subjective over just one ride but it seemed a bit easier to get to speed and maintain it. I do notice bit more side force from cross winds because of the deeper profile compared to my last rims.

- DT SWISS 240 EXP straight pull Center lock Black
- DT SWISS 240 EXP Shimano Road 11S straight pull Center lock Black EXP 54
- SPOKE Sapim CX Ray with black aluminum nipples
- Quoted weight (no tape, valves, etc) 1428g

Well I curbed my rear wheel hard in the dark, it likes to hop now. Definitely bent.
I figured it was a good time to replace , probably 650b and keep the air holding hoppy 700 around for really tough gravel with a 700x45.
So in the time of difficulty finding stuff.... I found a replacement new Mavic allroad pro ust wheelset for $750, I like them enough. I tossed 650b in the to try later pile.
I also ordered Donnelly Strada USH WC 700x40 rubber for the new wheels.
We will see I guess.

Added some Bontrager mudguards to my Checkpoint Hopefully, no more gritty water bottles.

Bumped my head.
I just put wide Spank 25 bars (480mm) on my Trek Crossrip LTD, new camo tape, and shoed it with Vittoria Mix in 33c. I have some Terravails in 38c to try next.

Trek
Found my local dealer had a Trek Checkpoint SL 6 in my size and in stock, a great replacement for my Cannondale Quick 4. Mostly ride crappy streets, but looking forward to dirt adventures.

Dyedbro frame protector. The helicopter tape I put down a couple of years ago was starting to show its age. Let's see how long this will last.

I swapped out my FSA crankset that came on my bike and replaced it with the GRX 600 10 speed crankset and Shimano Tiagra RS-500 BB. The tolerances are much tighter, but the crank shifts smoother and the chain line is more straight. A lot of people here said a new crank and BB wouldn't make much of a difference...I'm glad I didn't listen! I also cut almost 200g of weight switching out the square tapered BB. Seems like a win/win upgrade for me!

Sonder Camino AL frame, & DT Swiss G540 wheelset.
There are no gravel bikes for sale within hours of me, so I'm building one instead.
