Alternative to Giant Anyroad

Until now I've been trying to track down a Giant Anyroad or at least a bike shop that would get one in for me. Turns out that isn't going to happen. Even Giant New Zealand isn't willing to help so I'm forced to find an alternative bike. I would like a fairly similar bike in terms of its relaxed geometry and comfort. Gravel/adventure bikes? For under $1500 nzd. I'm finding it a lot harder to find an alternative, so any help would be greatly appreciated

Is it just the Giant Anyroad in particular that is difficult to get, or Giant overall? If just the former, I picked up a Giant Revolt 1 last weekend for approx. $1250US and after its first ride, a 70-miler, overall I am pleased with it. I might tweek a few things sooner rather than later if they continue to annoy me (thin bartape for one) but it seems to be a good value.

Ooh I'll definitely look into the revolt. We have Giant, just not the ones that I seem to like the look of. Nor do we get the real affordable ones. Thanks for the revolt tip though!

I could have gone either way, but in the end I preferred the 'industrial' look of the Revolt to the more curvy lines of the Anyroad. I also have a Defy and TCR and its definitely different from either of those two.

Which Anyroad were you considering? Just wondered how weight, specs and/or budget might be impacting decision...

I'm trying to make a decision between Giant Anyroad, Salsa Vaya and the All City Space Horse. Limiting myself to what I can get from my LBS - I have a great relationship with them but that also means I'm not considering what some others have suggested such as the Specialized Diverge, Diamondback Haanjo, Kona Sutra or Raleigh Tamland.

At the moment I'm actually leaning toward the Anyroad 2 with the idea of upgrading the drive train in a year or two...love the Tiagra of the Anyroad 1 but hate the acid lime green color and I already have a carbon road bike so the CoMax feels like overkill...

EvolutionCycles has a medium Kona Jake for $1400. Frame geo is a bit different than the Anyroad, though. May or may not work for you.

Anyroad 2 just because of the price, with and upgrade to the components eventually down the line just like you. I fell in love with the Anyroad frame above all else. I like most of the colours as well. But I have to let go of that dream now haha. I've seen a 2018 Toughroad SLR GX somewhere overseas and am currently waiting to find out if they will be available here in NZ... Fingers crossed! Not holding breath though

Thanks! I know it's a fine bike and all but I just don't want it... I'm fussy I know but it has to be something I really want to ride if that makes sense
