Fuji Tread 1.1 Disc Road Bike - 2016 - Bike Nashbar
Not bad for $699...shimano hydro, Al frame/carbon fork, front thru axles. From what I can tell, the Fuji Tread that year was the same frameset as the Fuji cross (which I have seen many of at local gravel events).

If I'm being honest...if their AL version came in a non-hideous color I'd probably have decided on it already.

I think their Inflite CF would be a good gravel/Cyclocross bike. Fast and light, easy to portage, lots of room in the frame for a framebag. The AL model is a nice bike, but the CF model is a lot better from the German articles I read (they were luke warm on the AL bike, but loved everything about the CF bike).
the CF Inflite seems to have the handling and ride of a gravel bike, with the agility of a CF bike. Its not a bikepacking mule, but for hour long to day long races its hard to beat.

The only question really is whether I want to go all the way up to ~$3000. I once would have thought it ludicrous to spend that much on a bike...but my budget keeps creeping up somehow lol

Fuji cross 1.3 (2016?) on sale at nashbar today for $739...not bad for SRAM Rival 1x11, trp spyre brakes, al/carbon frameset and thru axles.
Downside: I have seen this bike in person, and the paint job appears very “fleshy”.

Yup, this would be for CX racing, fast group road rides, an occasional ~40-80 mile gravel ride, and nice weather commuting. I've got my older canti steel CX bike with a bajillion braze-ons still if I ever want to take up bikepacking.

Reynolds Carbon ATR 700 (and 650) disc wheelsets at a great price at the pro's closet.
I picked up a set and though the ebay listing says they are cosmetic blems, I see no blems at all on my set.
Just installed my 35c g-one allround tires on them without issue.

I have 15mm front and 12mm rear axles on my stigmata
After installing, I have a pair of 12mm adapters left over (assuming they were in the kit for the front wheel)
The front and rear wheels come with centerline to 6 bolt rotors adapters.
Took the wheels out yesterday on a 40 mile gravel trail run, and they seem fairly awesome.

so is this a deal, or a head ache?
link deleted.
a bad frame cheap parts, if a guy upgrades this after buying it in the long run he has spent more than just buying a good bike upfront. so now he spent more, and still has a crap bike, so deleted.

Curious about the crankset- never heard of RPL. Google says it's a Prowheel model. I'd be interested to find out how they get the 32t ring. Do they edge the inside like Praxis?
not sure why this bike would be a headache.

you can't have manufacturing tolerances (aka quality) and also be cheap. 1 of them has to hit the road. and the price tag has cheap written all over it.

this costs $510. A friend's wife has the women's version which costs the same. It has an alloy fork instead of carbon like the bike you linked. Ay the same time though, it's less expensive.
she has ridden it for a couple years now. Not a die hard roadie, but based on rides its easily over 2k of miles
the wheelsets are inexpensive for both this bike and the one you linked.
it isnt at all almost a Wal-Mart bike. It isnt even close to almost a Wal-Mart bike.
