Merida Tires clearance

Hello everybody! As I moved to a waaay colder town than before, I should soon be getting a new cheap merida cyclo cross 100 to try winter out here. My question is: will it allow the use of 42mm wide (studded) tires? The bike comes with 33mm, and I cannot find online any info about the clearance.

Thanks, and safe biking everybody

ask your dealer yet? I dont have a dealership of that brand (in town, or anywhere in the county)
how about getting a 'monster cross' instead those have a lot fatter tire clearance..

Competition cyclocross bikes have an expectation you may have the race judge break out the UCI max tire width Gage.

Your chances of getting a 42mm tire in a CX bike are very slim. You're looking more for a proper gravel bike at that tire width.

this might be a good place to start:
Let's make a list of gravel bikes with 40c+ tire clearance and around 430mm chainstay

(Edit: not the best list...there are plenty more wide-tire gravel bikes besides these, if you donít care about chainstay length)
