All-City Macho King vs. Ritchey Swiss Cross Disc

Notices
Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

All-City Macho King vs. Ritchey Swiss Cross Disc

I'm in the market for a high-end steel CX bike with disc brakes. I have a Reynolds 853 hardtail mountain bike and like the idea of adding another 853 rig to the stable, which is why I've been eyeing the All-City Macho King, but the Ritchey Swiss Cross Disc has also caught my eye. Any thoughts about how they compare? And do the frame sets weight pretty close to the same? I found weight specs for the Ritchey but not the All-City.

Thanks in advance for any input!

The Ritchey is somewhat lower at the front end. Typical Ritchey frame geo.

I would reach out to All City to get the weight of a complete bike for comparison. Ritchey's reputation for quality is great, but my experience with All City is excellent as well. I can't compare the two bikes, but wanted to give some support to All City as I'm the proud owner of a Big Block and love everything about it.

Thanks for the replies so far. Probably leaning toward the All-City, b/c of the 853 and the through axles. The Ritchey looks sweet in black, though, and the name has some pull (and I owned an original Swiss Cross and to this day regret selling it). Both are really hard to come by to test, which complicates matters.
