Looking for a little help. Ditched the Sora group and went with a 1x setup using a Sram 1175 cassette and Apex RD. Swapped the wheels while I was at it, and got everything all sorted, except for the RD. When I put thru axle on and tighten it down, it moved the derailleur hanger too close to the 10s cog. I can't for the life of me figure this out short of getting a few 12mm spacers. I measured my wheels acle and it's the same size as the stock wheel.
Does the Apex level come with a different derailleur hanger?

Anyone with the 105 model (or anyone else who has the 105 R7000 series hydraulic brakes), have you noticed a really loud resonant sound coming from the brakes in wet weather?
I'm not on the stock wheels or rotors, so it might be hard to compare, but in wet weather when I have to go hard on the brakes, I get really loud tones coming from both front and rear rotors. I wouldn't call it squeeling, as it's a deep harmonic sound, slightly different in the front and back. Braking power seems sufficient, though, and I'm new to disc brakes in general. It seems like noise from disc brakes is fairly common in wet weather, but it's pretty obnoxious so I'd like to troubleshoot if possible.

Looking at buying the 105 version very closely. How do you like it? Tire clearance enough for you?
Thanks!

Tire clearance was a big consideration, and I was debating between the Topstone and the Salsa Vaya because of that. I eventually decided that aside from jumping up to a Monstercross bike, the differences in tire clearance between bikes in this category (and price range) were pretty small, and 42mm was good enough for most of what I want to do. That said, I haven't done a lot of off-road riding on it yet, but can swap the stock wheels/tires on when the need arises!

Thanks for the input!
**Edit** - very close to picking up a Topstone 105. I was wondering if I could fit a bigger cassette in the back with the stock derailleur. Like a Shimano 11-46 or 11-40. Something in that range... I feel like that is all this bike needs to make it my perfect bike.
Thanks!

As to your question I think you could install either cassette with a roadlink adapter to extend the RD's capacity.

My '20 aluminum Topstone 105 came with the WTB ST i23 TCS 700c wheels. They are 24mm exterior width. I use a Continental GrandPrix 4 Season 28mm tire, they end up at 32mm at 70-80 psi. I would not run a 25 mm tire on this rim.
