2021 Giant Revolt

Anyone heard anything about the 2021 model release of this bikes? Also, Am I right in thinking that the current model was released in 2018 so is due for an update or will that be next year?

I am looking to possibly getting one and was told by the local Giant distributor in this part of the world that the new models were expected in Sep/Oct. Whether it is just a paint refresh or an update, he didnt say.

Carbon Revolts with the current frame were first introduced for model year 2019 and alu Revolts last year, so I doubt they'll be updated with anything other than different colours and maybe GRX components.

Bikes: Co-Motion Cappuccino Tandem,'88 Bob Jackson Touring, Co-Motion Cascadia Touring, Open U.P., Ritchie Titanium Breakaway, Frances Cycles SmallHaul cargo bike. Those are the permanent ones; others wander in and out of the stable occasionally as well.

Giant needs to have a GRX option to remain relevant in the gravel bike market. I'd expect a GRX option for next model year. At least a GRX 600 2x would be my bet.

This ^^ The current carbon frame was released for 2019 so it won't be revised for another year. The current frame is top notch by the way almost nothing more you could ask for if the geometry meets your desires. I'd put money on a shift to GRX for 2021 as well.

2021 Revolt specs are now on Giant's website. Looks like some different colors and GRX options, but nothing has changed on the frame/fork.

TCX has been updated for 2021. But nobody here cares because they don't think it is a gravel bike.

60mm of bb drop? Thats pretty cx to me. Since I don't have to avoid pedals striking on large rocks, roots, ruts, or barriers and i dont use old school cages- ill enjoy the significant difference in ride and feel that another 15mm of drop gives.

As for the rest of the frame geometry- it could totally work for some. I wouldn't mind it if I were about 2x as flexible as I am. 603mm stack height for enthusiasts that are 6'5 is seriously pushing it. I would be interested to see how many gravel cyclists ride a similar setup...it is easily in the single digits as a percentage.

I've been thinking about selling my Revolt Advanced 2 and going titanium with di2, but now I see the Pro1 with GRX di2 in Chameleon Mars, that's sweet.

That build is pretty sweet!

I'm really thinking about selling my Aspero since I can't get the gearing of my choice on it (48/31 or 50/30 AB Oval with 11/34) and getting a Revolt.

I love my Revolt, think I'm gonna put di2 on it and then wait till next year to decide what I want next. lol Talked with the owner of the LBS where I bought both of my Giants, he said they haven't even released pricing yet for the '21 Revolts, and he probably couldn't get me one until January anyway.

What's the skinny there? It doesnt fit or something else? The Aspero clears a 34t inner chainring, right?

Whole range looks great with the builds and colorways. I like that Giant has stuck with mostly 2x 48/32 + 11-34 gearing, which is perfect for mixed surface peddling efficiency in my experience. If I were in the market for a carbon gravel bike, I don's see how the Revolt would not be at the top of the list. Little disappointing that the alloy model went up in price, and is still just the base model in the USA.

Aspero fits a 34t round chainring, yes. I'm currently running GRX 48/31, but what I really want to run is Absolute Black Oval chainrings, neither their 48 sub compact or 50 compact rings will work on the Aspero (I tried both).
