Bolt on top tube bag mounted on bottle cage mount?
I'm asking here because the bolt on TT bags seem to be a gravel bike thing. Does anyone know if the bolt spacing is the same as bottle cages? As in, would it be possible to bolt one onto the seat tube mount?
I ask because I run tubular tires on my road bikes. I don't have a saddle bag because my spare tire is strapped to the saddle, and I have a small handlebar bag so I don't have to pack my jersey pockets with everything I carry. But a small top tube bag on my bottle cage mount would be pretty nice, I rarely use more than one bottle on my normal daily rides anyway.

The spacing is the same as bottle cage mounts. For top tube use, there are two "standards" for how far the first bolt is placed from the head tube, roughly 75mm and 100mm, but that won't matter for your intended use.

My Revelate MagTank bolt on bag was $60. Not cheap. It would be cheaper to get a seat bag.

I'm good now but another idea I just came up with is to strap a TwoFish Quick Cage adapter on the top tube w/ a bolt on bag. I don't like the strap on top tube bags because the ones I've had always tilt to one side or the other with weight on them. I'm sure the TwoFish can be pulled tight enough to not move.
The velcro strap looks long enough to work with a larger diameter alu or carbon top tube. I still might get one and try it.

Have the 2 and 3bolt. Yes, the design is great for strapping down real tight.
Helps grab/lock a little more if you first put on frame protection tape.

There's also the Wolftooth B-Rad system.

No affiliation with the company. I'm not even a customer; I've just seen this stuff posted elsewhere and it looks pretty cool to me.
