Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Maybe someday I'll ride gravel that is smooth.

But CO, NM, AZ, NM all seem to be side by side destroyed. speaking of (usually drunk) side by side hobbiest. it might be more safe to ride with normal traffic on paved roads. The problem being that normal traffic is now the same people pulling triple axle toy haulers that also rip up and down and drifting all the corners.

As for the topic at hand, I feel the OP. I've had a few 100 mile rides on the crf250l. That left me beat up. Some roads are seriously rough. either rocky or solid washboard.
For them that get to experience non washboard gravel/ smooth packed dirt.... enjoy it while it last.
