My Gravel bike build is complete!

Notices
Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

My Gravel bike build is complete!

My Gravel bike build is complete!

I'M SO PROUD!

After hundr.... many hours in the workshop my home built gravel bike is finished and the final part of my youtube series is live! This has definitely given me a taste for building my own bikes. The first two parts are already on my channel, so check them out as well!

What do you think of the result?

Looks good. I'd call it a CX bike myself.

Thanks! Since itís built out of a Scott speedster frame, and I will use it for gravel riding, rather than CX, I call it a gravel bike, but I guess you can call it that as well. What do you think makes it in to a CX rather than a gravel?

Well it has more of a racy geometry closer to a CX bike. Gravel bike geometry is long, low and slow steering for stability on gravel. And I don't know what size tires they are but they don't look super wide. But I like CX bikes more so it's cool with me haha

Thats true. The Scott speedster frame seems to serve as both entry level road bike and entry level gravel/CX bike, so I guess it is what you want it to be. 😃

How do you like those Conti tires? I was looking at them for my CX bike.

Iíve only had them out for two rides so far. But I rode tarmac, gravel, singel track and sand. Apart from a very steep accent in loos gravel/sand where I had to get off, I found them very competent. Iíve mostly ridden tarmac before and I find them fast on there as wall. 👍
