Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

looks like he smashed down into something as he was landing on it. shoved the fork up at an angle that forced the top tube to pop down. Tried to fail at the seattube but the post and his weight held it down, thus the bend being closer to the headtube.

Bike frame snapped badly.
Glad it wasn't something I was riding on.
Maybe light to the point of stupid.

Seems pretty straightforward to me. I would think it was from a collision with a car. But it could also be from a jump and a collision with a tree or some such.

Redline frames are pretty strong so that isn't something that occurred easily.

Maybe it was on a roof rack, and somebody drove the car into the parking garage? Looks like more damage than you would expect from a crash while riding.

BINGO - I'm sure that "same_time" is correct. That's the sort of damage I saw before from that accident.

The bright side is that thing can be recycled into something much better suited to Aluminum construction, like Bud Light cans.
