Green tires?
Hi! I just got a "new" 2001 Lemond Poprad bike. I've been having a blast with it! It could use new tires and since its green & white, I think some green tires would look pretty cool on it. I'm having a hard time finding any, though. I plan to ride it mostly for commuting, but I also want to ride it on some dirt trails. I found these at Nashbar, but I think they may be mostly for off-road and wouldn't perform all that well on the road.

Would these work okay for my purposes? If not, does anyone know where I can get some green tires that would be better?

I haven't tried those tires, but the tread pattern's familiar.
I don't think it's a problem on road, less squirmy in the corners than other cross tires I've used.
The price is sure encouraging.

Thanks, Ron. I went ahead and ordered them. For that price, guess I can't really go wrong!

I have been using these tires for the last week on my fixed gear, they are allot slower than my skinny 23c but the street in Boston in the winter are more like an off road trail than a road.
They are a good buy. And a great color.

I got the tires and they're working out pretty good. And they do look cool on my green & white Poprad! (I'll post a pic soon.) They are a bit slow, but it's good training, I guess. I can really tell the difference when I get on my road bike!
Looks like Nashbar is sold out of them now. Glad I snagged them when I did!
