Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like :The Dirty Kanza". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

If you are talking about the new BR550, http://sheldonbrown.com/harris/cantilevers/index.html then they are nice. Sheldon brown gives them high marks. I have the old style Deore cantis on all my bikes. I was thinking about getting a set of the newer ones. Good luck

thanks for the link....and yeah, it'd be the new ones (my current brakes are impossible to dial in and even harder to keep dialed in!)

I got the avid4s on my jts swapped for br550s and while they (the shimanos) look better and perform much better than the avids it "may" have been the extra effort the LBS spent on dialling them in.
