Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Thats a very cool bike... Midge bars rule. What pedals are those? And also, numpty question: What's 'reverse levers'?

That's a very nice bike. But I'm a but worried about that tower of spacers. If you're actually going offroad with it, that's a potential weakspot as a lot of stress is put on the steerer tube.

I thought about that for a minute while I was building it too. So I considered getting the 17* X2 and using less spacers. Ultimately though I figured that this is a CX bike and not my DH bike, so I'm not going to be hucking 4 footers. Plus, it's a rigid fork so when sh*t gets ruff I'm going to be unweighting the front end anyway.

To the other posters:

"Reverse levers" mean that the right lever controls the front brake and the left controls the rear.

The pedals in the picture are Weyless platforms. I never use them, I don't even remember why they were on there in the first place. I normally run black Eggbeaters, which I love.

It's been awhile since this thread has been touched. I'm curious what crank you used. I cannot tell from the pictures. I'm also building and all black Crosscheck. My build is very similar, but I'm running it as a single speed.
