Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Just saying Hi!

I'm new to the forums here. I have a 2001 Lemond Poprad that I had my LBS build up for me. I have since changed out a few components to get the weight down. Mine is all 105 components except for an Ultegra BB. I put a Cinelli Salida stem on it, Bontrager Race Lite bar, Thomson Elite seatpost, Matrix/105 rims w/Conti Ultra 2000s, and Performance Ti pedals. That shaved off about 3lbs right there. The only thing I can think of doing now is replacing the heavy skewers I have, and those Avid Shorty 8s sure do look good.

I ride mostly on the road, but I have a nice set of Performance Cross-X tires I can slap on for off-roading which I do occasionally (Spring and Fall).

I hope I can learn a few things here, and maybe even help a few people out.
