first cx race saturday...

and I'm getting the feeling I have no idea what I'm in for. any advice?

I'm not as good back in my spd's as I thought I was.

Try the cx racing forum for more advice, but I think you're in for a good time. Worst case is that you are off the back and you'll just be enjoying the course and practicing for your next race.
