Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Good Buy? Bad Buy? I'm just looking to get in to cyclocross, thinking of it as a singlespeed build, perhaps.

Quite possibly the flexiest frame you'll ever ride. Light for its time, but nothing more than a relic...

I think it's cool. Turn it into a single.

No lateral stiffness to speak of, especially if you're used to a modern frame feel. And check the bottom bracket area around the lugs for cracks. I've seen frames with cracks just painted over and sold off quick....

Otherwise, you could build up a cool looking SS/FG.

i think it looks sweet. would work well ss or geared. dunno about stiffness, and of course inspect it around the lugs, but it sounds like it'll serve your purpose well.

Nice frame. Don't worry about stiffness and your back will thank you after an hour of cross racing
