Campy set up anyone?

Ive been think about setting up a cross bike full campy and there are a few problems i have run into... campy has a 135 BCP and all (salsa and fsa) chain guides are set up for 130. Is there anybody who makes chainguards/guides that are compatable?

If anyone knows another problem i might run into with campy stuff please share
Thanks

Though it's been said that you can't, I was able to fit a generic 110bcd chainring on my Veloce UT Compact crank. Photographic proof here. I don't know if it applies to Centaur and up, though. It does mean you could use any 110 chainguard and ring on a Veloce UT Compact, which I've found to be a darn good crank.

Spécialités TA rings should work, though maybe a bit pricey/hard to come by.

i think i might have to run none campy...too bad

oh well. it is very true that campys compact stuff is 110 bcp but even then campy still has that one odd arm to keep them exclusive. so i guess non campy it will have to be. I have seen this company called stella azzurra that makes a carbon crankset that i have heard good things about but i am a little fearful of setting a carbon crankset on a cross bike. after all we all have heard of carbon wheels, bars etc breaking. some thoughts..

Back up... if you're talking about ring guards, are you planning to run one ring up front? If that's the case, then it doesn't matter what crank you have.

I'm sorry if I wasn't clear earlier, but the point of my earlier post was to point out that at least for some of the lower level stuff, the odd arm isn't there. You can fit any 110 bcd chainring. I think the proprietary issue may come in with Chorus and Record. Of course, there's no carbon Veloce, so you'll just have to decide how important all-Campy is to you.

I think the old, square taper Mirage, Veloce and Centaur cranks have a normal 110bcd. If you need an Italian alternative, may I suggest the Miche Grand Tour? Miche do a lot of rings in 110bcd that you may be able to order with it. This will probably be my crank of choice when the time finally comes

Otherwise, Cyclocross world has a 135bcd guard. Or you could run the inner two rings of a triple..
