cx wheel advice...
i'm putting the finished touches on some decisions for my first cx bike. i think my last concern is the wheels. is there a good, relatively light, durable wheelset that i can use both for training and races?
i have same mavic ksyrium elite road wheels not being used...will that work? or do cx bikes use cx specific wheels?

You Kyseriums will work fine. Nice wheels, maybe too nice. Hell, any wheels will work, how much do you care about them and their associated replacement cost? I've never killed a set of wheels, but not for lack of trying. I've been racing on the stock wheels from my San Jose (A class SOLO) and am quite surprised by their durability. Given the choice, I'd build with Chris King hubs and Mavic open Pro's. Cash flow dictates, we all race on a budget. My advice, find a local shop with a decent set of road wheels for as much as you can afford and ride the hell out them. BUY LOCAL! Sorry, got a bit carried away there...... I just bought a set with XT Hubs on Salsa Delgado Cross rims (32 spoke) Not really light, but very strong. I expect they'll outlast my current frame, which is now 5 years old. I did have to convert to bolt on, so total cost was around three fifty. Not bad for the miles, I think. Where are you riding? Here the snow is ALMOST too deep to ride the trails, but I'll be heading out anyway.
