Inline Barrel Adjuster Placement On Frames Top Mounted Cable Routing

My Scattante frame has brazeons to run the front derailleur cable from the top tube to the seat tube, around a pulley and then up to the derailleur. I am running Campy, so in addition to not having a frame mounted cable adjuster, I don't have an STI mounted one either.

Now, I have a couple in line adjusters from some Avid BB7 road brakes, could I use this somewhere in my front derailleur setup to take the slack out of the cable, or do I need to buy a different one, like the ones listed here? https://www.universalcycles.com/shopping/index.php?category=1613

You should be able to use the adjusters inline with the housing. I would put them up by the handlebar for easy access while riding.
