Nashbar Carbon Fiber Fork

Any comments or experience with the Nashbar carbon fiber fork for ATB's? Positive or negative?
Thanks,
PCG

You might get more responses on th MTB forum. I know that it is not suspension corrected and will only fit 2.1" tires, and has mounts for disc and canit's. So, if you're looking for a fork for an old MTB, and don't plan on running tires larger than a 2.1, I doubt you can go wrong when they go on clearance. I have seen them as low as $89.99. I've been considering one for my Al SS MTB, but haven't managed to make myself scrape together the funds.

As for the Nashbar carbon cross fork, is it the only reasonably priced option for a carbon, 1" fork with disc tabs? Any experience with them. It will be used for some commuting and mostly light trails. No racing.

I bet it will be great. My girlfriend has a 1" threadless nashbar carbon road fork on her road bike. She road it for about 2 years, greatly abusing it at times. It's still going strong. I think they may over build them.

I'm riding a 26" cyclocross build using the Nashbar carbon ATB fork and so far I like it. I've done some trails but mostly use the bike like a road bike. The fork absorbs more road roughness than an aluminum fork I had on an older road bike and is sturdy enough so I don't worry taking it on trails near my house. I'm using the Schwalbe CXPro tires that are just 1.35" wide, I actually measured them at 1.25" wide. So I haven't tried bigger tires yet but 2.1" is supposed to be the limit. The fork is a little heavy but so what.
