Fantom Cross TT or Tricross Comp?
 

Motobecane Fantom Cross Team Titanium vs. Specialized Tricross Comp? Either 2008 or 2009? Friend trying to decide between the two. Similarly priced.

Ah, the lure of Titanium... I think that's the one that would be calling to me...

I wouldn't be caught dead on a Motobecane.

but its titanium!! fit issues aside, i think it's his personal choice whether he wants a lesser known brand (with titanium frame) or a well known brand without it. if the name or paintjob bothers him, then dont get it. if the titanium frame for cheap is his main goal, then get it!

i have two off known brand roadbikes that i bought this year. Buying the off-brand bikes let me try out 105 and ultegra kits for the same price as the name brand bikes in the sora, tiagra range.

i think next year i'll try a pedal force carbon frame and swap the components over myself.
