Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Where do you get cowbells?

I'm taking my girls (4 and 1 1/2 years old) to a CX race in a week. Where do I get cow bells for them to clanks around?

not too hard to make:

old broomhandle cut to 5" length and screwed to an empty tomato soup can with a piece of wire holding a nut. Not authentic, but makes a good tinny clang!

ultra budget, but works in a pinch. I used that for one season, then picked up a big one at an antique store.

Or, just go to the local farm store and buy the size/sound that you like. I have one that huge and is literally deafening to all in a 5ft range.

I live in southern california. The local farm store is about 10 miles away from my parents house in Illinois.

The internet came to the rescue. My girls will be raising all sorts of hell this weekend.
