Any BB30 Users Out There?

I'm about to get this Cannondale CX frameset with the BB30 BB interface and I'm curious if any one has any experience with it?

I'll be getting the adapter for a english BB with the frame just in case, but I'm just trying to justify getting a new set of rather expensive cranks.

Considering that FSA is not shipping the FSA BB30 Gossamer till new year, probably no one yet. The models I have seen are 105 with an adaptor. You may want to hold off on ordering the separate adaptor till you get the crankset confirmed.

I'd love to hear feedback though....

I rode the CX5 (105 equipt, lesser fork) a week ago. The bike feels really stiff with that crank, I can only imagine how the BB30 feels. The gossamer seems to be the way to go for the price point. I would hate to spend more for a crank than I did for the frame. The adapter is $20 with the frame so I'll get it anyway.

I'll report back with details once she is together. My team is getting them so I'll have a few perspectives.

I probably wouldn't sweat the adapter that much. A ton of manufacturers have been making BB30 cranks or signed up to move to it. Cannondale has been using it for quite a while now. If it was something new and nonstandard, like the Zed interface used by Look on their TT bikes, then I'd buy an adapter or two, but BB30 will probably be everywhere in a couple of years.

I raced last year's Cannondale with a BB30 hollowgram SI crank (or what ever it is called, I'm not sure). It was great. I wanted to install the crank myself, but had a hard time because there really isn't much literature out there on how to install the crank... and I got frustrated.

But, once it was installed it was great. You'll enjoy it.
