Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". Steel CX Frame for Commuter Project

Any recs for steel frame cx, with room for fenders, studded tires in winter, and rack mounts? Frame only, low cost important. I'm looking to set-it-up with a Nexxus internal hub, so track style dropouts would be handy.

If you're definitely going with an internal hub, buy the Motobecane Uno and call it good. You won't find a cheaper frame new.

Rawland frames are cheap right now as they seem to be clearing out older stock. They're meant for 650b though, I believe, meaning you have to use something like a paul motolight if you want to go 700c.

I built a Crosscheck specifically for commuting. Has room for 50mm tires and fenders so it'll definitely take studded with fenders easy. Get it from universalcycles.com and use VIP15 to get 15% off. You also get free shipping for the frame as well.
