New bike!

Just wanted to show off my new bike a bit. 44cm...I'm short and inflexible so it seems like it is going to be the ideal fit. Having a professional fit done Monday so handlebar position might change a bit. And, yes I realize I have Speedplays on there, I have whacked legs and I was primarily on the road today.

Quick thoughts; the bike feels fantastic. I've never owned a cross bike and have been on a road bike for years so I could definitely feel the handling difference, much higher center of gravity. That being said the bike was confidence inspiring pushing through turns (the wider tires helped my confidence). I'm also new to Sram road stuff and I LOVE it so far. Very positive feeling shifts, the Double Tap is actually very intuitive and I'm already 100% confident using it. The one thing I thought was going to be an issue was the minimal trim capabilities but the cage doesn't contact much if set up properly. Can't wait to get it more dirty!

Couldn't tell ya, I used the stock tape. It does however feel identical to Fizik tape (not microtex). It's got a smooth feel, definitely not like cork. You can wash the Fizik stuff too which is awesome.
