Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like :The Dirty Kanza". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Here's my freshly assembled Nashbar cross bike

Just put this together Saturday. Took it for it's maiden voyage same day, 20.5 miles in 102 degree SoCal heat (nearly getting heat stroke in the process, lol). Assembled it with the Nashbar carbon cross fork and Bontrager Race 29" wheel set from my old 'Frankenbike'. I'm running Avid bb5 disc's, Truvativ Stylo cranks Club Roost Cross Terra tires, (700 x 35c). Some old Nashbar pedals circa (1996). XT front/LX rear derailleurs, Nashbar compact road bars, Race Face stem/seatpost. Spoon Charge saddle. Tektro RL520 brake levers, Sunrace thunb shifters.. Total weight before removing frame canti studs is 23 lbs even. It is very responsive to pedal input as well as steering input. very pleased so far!

I like the tires. However, I don't have anything else to compare them too (yet). I measured 33mm. I would like something wider for trail riding, but my understanding is cyclocross racing maximum is 33mm. So I may be switching back if I want to try that out.

Do you remember where you ordered them from?

Hey all!

This is my Crux. I race every weekend, am notorious for only cleaning my bike the morning of races and thinking I'm way better/faster than I actually am.

Current rendition of my Soma Double Cross (2014, graphite). So far it is my all purpose bike (commuting, weekend riding, light trail grinding), as it is my ONLY bike.

Hello!

Just to show off the 'ol baby. It is a Ridley with Easton Ultra Lite tubing, but I have no idea what the year or model is. I can't seem to find a similar paint job anywhere online.

Link to photo here.

If you know what year/model that is I would be intrigued to know. I have it setup 1x with a Sram Rival Crank, and a Sram Gx clutch rear derailleur.

Okay, here's mine: Charge Filter frame from the back of a shop, cheap; old Campy 9s Mirage from before they screwed it up assorted bits and pieces and a pair of really nice wheels, Chorus hubs w/ Seoul 88 rims. Might even race it next year.

I love it. Especially since its cheaper than a revelate design bag. I know it looks like I'm a shill considering I have all their stuff but I honestly think that the quality/price is hard to beat.

I want to say that's a 2008-2010 Cross Bow. Could be a team issue color scheme.
