It rides great! I actually have a NOS '08 Campeon (their scandium road bike) I'm going to pickup tommorrow and have built up with Chorus 11 speed. Most of my miles on the Las Cruces have been pavement with road tires, but the few times I've had it out in the dirt it's been great! I'll see how it races this fall when I do the SoCal Cross series... I can't wait! I was a little hesitant about an aluminum frame as an all around bike, but it's turned out to be quite nice... I think Salsa does a heck of a job building a nice frame at a great price point... You can find a slightly used Chile Con Crosso (or a NOS one) for pretty cheap a lot of times, the Crosso is basically my bike without the disc tabs welded on (I just like the orange!)

I just set up this same bike, but it's set up for the road right now. similar to your but with sram rival and cheaper mavics. looks nice.

Just finished the build 3 weeks ago.

Pedalforce CX1 with Easton fork, Open Pro rims and Dura Ace everything besides the crank, which is FSA SLK compact. Very comfortable to ride, I love that bike for casual rides and I hope it will do me good in the coming cyclecross season.

thanks, it rides like a dream. is yours the same 08' frame? i originally was going to do rival but caved after planning it out a couple times... if i were to do some serious cross i'd probably switch out some components for more durable options.

I'm very new to these forums and cyclocross in general but heres my bike. just in case your wondering, its in my closet because my garage door doesnt really work and things tend to...go missing in my neighborhood.

Pretty basic 2008 fuji cross comp, so far im really enjoying it(only other bike i have is a landrider so..) i'm having a bit of a tough time figuring out how to use the gears properly but itll come with time. other than that everythings great. my butt hurts a little...for bike related reasons

Where did you get that fuji? the different paint pattern caught my eye (looks nice!) but the cable routing is different too. The fuji cross bikes i've seen (and my '07 cross pro) have the rear brake and both shifter cables running along the top of the top tube.

I just picked it up at the local bicycle village. I could be wrong on the year but they said it was the 2008 model. As I looked around the internet I couldnt find a similar paint job either which seems strange but shes treating me well so far

still being blown away by road bikers but thats probably more me than my bike lol

That pedalforce frame looks great, way better than I would have expected.

That would be an amazing platform for an amazing brevet or "casual long ride" kind of bike. The fender mounting is a nice touch.

My new (to me) Spot build, of new & old parts.

XT/Aerohead wheels, Ritchey WCS cranks, Ultegra rear der (1x9) & shift lever, King headset, etc etc.

Just took it out for a spin, and it rides great! It's begging for some mud already.......

It's actually a 2006 (i have the same bike) but!!! --> that's a good thing. that was the only year i can recall where they made the lower end cross comp (one step below the cross pro) in A-6 Quarternary alloy aluminum, a stronger/lighter frame material usually reserved for their higher priced rigs. the only down side? an aluminum fork instead of carbon. this can be replaced later if you get serious, but the frame is brilliant, and my favorite paintjob of all the fuji cross bikes i've ever seen. anyway, nice rig!!!

yeah, it's an '08. I love the bike, it rides like a dream. Best aluminum frame I have ever ridden, it's so stiff, hopefully it will increase once I get carbon cranks and a better wheelset.
