Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

I opted for the black version. I'm assuming the decals are under the clearcoat?

Built from scratch. No, I did not forge the frame myself...

Yeah, all except for some warning/caution label that I didn't bother to read.

Yes! The only part I don't like about this bike. The decals are hideous. I'm waiting for it to get "uglified" and then I'm pulling out the hair dryer and taking them off.

What size are you? I've been thinking about getting this frame but as far as size I could go with a 54 or 56. I'm 5'10" with a 32" inseam.

I looked into the Ridley frames and I could never get a handle on the sizing either. They are really tall for a given top tube length. So in order to be comfortable with the height of the top tube (for off road riding I do think it's important to have some standover clearance), I would end up with a really short top tube on a Ridley. I'd have to get like a 140mm stem.

Finally got what everyone had been saying for a long time; Riding a road bike in the dirt is about as good as it gets.
I have a Bianchi 1x9 for commuting, but wanted more gears and better equipment. So far, so good. Best deal on full 105(might be able to ebay/craigslist cheaper, but that takes time). The frame is heavy, but I hope to replace it next year. The wheels are okay(holding up to my 200+ pounds so far) but are going to be replaced with open pro/ultegras at the least. Certainly a fine way to get started on CX with the right balance or cheap and quality components.

note: thats it Topeka, KS in the background not philthy.

That is a 56 cm. I am 5 10 with a 35 inch inseam. Weird. I know.

Still deciding on pedals. Need to flip the stem, raise the bar, and get a new chain. Otherwise, it's ready to rock. As for me, I need to go spend some time in the pain cave.

Took 8 months to get the parts ( well actually the funds) and 2 months to assemble. Full scandium frame, carbon fork. Force shifters and rd. DA crank, xt hubs laced to mavic ma40 rims. avic bb7 road brakes. Ritchey stem and post w/noname bars spesh seat. Yeah, it's a 1 x 10 and I have yet to drop the chain on my commute, maybe 500 miles so far. I love the fact that I built it myself , including the wheels, and I can go anywhere with it. Can't wait to race it.
