Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like :The Dirty Kanza". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

What's your favorite CX clincher tire?

What's your favorite CX clincher tire?

Just curious and looking for suggestions before fall comes! I am personally looking for something that can be an all around tire, but certainly open to suggestions.

Maxxis Raze is a great all-rounder. Rolls really smoothly on pavement, too.

I've pretty much tried them all and my favorites are the Hutchinsons ( bulldog/pirahnna) simply becuase they are huge and I can run them at 28-30psi without pinch flatting. This made a HUGE difference on most of the courses I raced last year.

I use a WTB Interwolf in the front and Crosswolf in the rear. I've been very happy.

I really like the Tufo tubular clinchers. Expensive and all hell and hard to come by, but man those things are nice. I ran mine at like 20 psi and no issue with rolling. Trying to change them was a major pain though. Thought I was going to have to buy new wheels.

+1 for Mud2 tires - not too bad on the road either - my commute is 25km each way and I've done it lots on these tires

mud2s, but like he said - It's wet here

These tires are for race day only. Commuting on them will wear them out quickly.
