General SPD questions
My wife is having trouble with her cheapie forte spd pedals and is getting close to swearing off clipless. She tried my atacs and could barely get out of them she says, she thinks because she's kind of duck-footed. Anyway, I've been researching spds and apparently there's a way to adjust the cleats rotationally? And there are multi-release cleats too.
So I'm wondering #1- if a new pair of shimano spds come w/ the multi-release cleats and #2- is there a way to adjust the cleats so they can be a bit angled on the shoe?

Not what you wanted to hear, but:
Try a pair of BMX platform pedals with pins. They stick to your feet like glue and they're cheap. If you get ones that can take reflectors then you'll have the option of putting Power Grips on them. In almost all situations they're as efficient as SPDs (pulling up is a myth - it's the pull from 8 o'clock to 4 o'clock that matters, and pinned pedals are excellent here) and they can be a lot safer. Diamondback Bigfoots are good and you should be able to ebay them for $20. Later you could spend more on lighter pedals if they work out.

Changing the alignment on the cleats is as simple as grabbing an allen wrench.
You can also get shims for the cleats as well.
