Where to put the best tread
The rear tire on my knobbies is quickly transforming itself from a block tread to a file tread. That is, the knobs in the center are wearing down.
I know with road tires the rule is to put the tire with the best tread on the front, but it seems like when I'm racing it's always my back tire that ends up sliding.
Would it make sense to switch the tire with more tread to the back for off-road purposes?

There was talk about mixing a grifo and a fango, using one for front and one for rear. I forget which one goes where. I think it was grifo front and fango rear, but not sure.
Maybe use 2 different tires? Thicker tire on the back?
