Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Cross frame for wide tires

Toying around with the idea of building a cross bike for my local trails.
Was wondering which frame/fork can take disc brakes and have clearance for tires up to 45?
Obviously not racing, so can disregard any weight considerations and such

thanks for any input guys

Why 45?

Sounds like you want a hardtail Mtn bike.

Purely aesthetic, I hate the look of a mountain bike.

Maybe one day, but not today.

Cross check doesn't handle discs. I guess you could put a disc on the front with a non-Surly fork, but that would be a funky.

That Vassago Fisticuff seems like a cool bike.
