Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

what do you think about this

what do you think about this

pit and training bike made from an old peugeot UO12 with 26x1 3/8 wheels I have laying around (drop bolts on brake calipers to reach rims).

the tires on the wheels are pretty much new, would have to rebuild rear wheel to accept modern hub (have a bunch in my part bin)

what do you think?

I think you are not going to be able to find tires for it.

What will you use it for? Training as in offroad? That's an old cruiser tire size I think, maybe hard to find knobby ones. If it's a pit bike and road/trail bike then I suppose it would be fine, but the tires may not have good puncture resistance.

pit/spare bike and off road training around the house (less than 10 kms around)

what i am worried about is pedal strike because the bike is like 1 1/2 inch lower

Why not use old MTB wheels and run big knobbies? Frame might fit them.
That might take you up to nearly the same circumference as 700

But hey, use what you have and go run it, let us know how it goes.
