Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like :The Dirty Kanza". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Another Bike Fit Question

Having never owned a road or corss bike, I was a bit lost in terms of sizing.

I used the fit calculator at the competitive cyclist, and it spit out some numbers. Based on what I have read within this forum, most seem to agree that the TT length is the number to focus on. So with that said, the fit calculator is basically recommending a TT of 56.

How close should I try to match a frame to this number? Is there a +/- that is acceptable, or should I be trying to find something that matches this exactly? Does the fact that this fit was based on road and not cross matter? Or just go with whatever size bike feels good on the test ride and screw the fit calculator?

You'd probably want to go same Top Tube length or a bit shorter than your road dimensions with a bit shorter stem also.
