Vintage Mongoose Alumicross

my Brother knows I'm a bike nerd, he bought a Vintage Mongoose Alumicross for me at a garage sale for $20.. I searched for it on the internet and got NOTHING.. there's a bike by the same name built by Miyata that looks VERY similar.. really cool bike .. all road up top all mountain down below.. so far I laced in some new rims and got a couple new tires and seat post and saddle..

so is someone putting mongoose stickers on a Miyata or is this a rare bike??

here is the picture of the Miyata

notice a couple of subtle differences , the rear brake cable mount is built in on the Miyata, and the Mongoose has a chrome fork

the "alumicross" sticker on the top tube is repositioned and not the same color scheme.. down tube vs bar end shifters, Hi rise stem vs mongoose branded straight stem

Those are pictures of my miyata. Seriously. I've since sold it to someone here on bf but those are pics I took of the alumicross I had.

Different years had different stickers. Someone put mongoose stickers on a miyata, trust me. No one else made a frame like that with the bonded aluminum lugs.
