Which Pedal ?

Hi all, I am looking at getting a Giant TCX 1. The bike doesn't come with pedals so need to decide which ones to match it with.

Despite the benefots of SPD/clip pedals, I want a flat pedal to go with the bike.

Which flat pedal would people recommend ?

Also, is there anything I should be aware with regard to matching pedals to this bike, for example are MTB pedals different fitments etc ?

Thanks

If you're looking for dual platform SPD pedal, check out the Shimano A530

check the mountain bike forum for flat pedal recommendations. You'll do better with something big with pins in it and shoes with a somewhat soft sole to grip those pins. I have these on my mountain bike and they seem alright:

But no longer sold? Wellgo makes a lot of different models. Also, the pins will rip chunks of flesh out of you if you have an accident.
