Cyclocross and Gravelbiking (Recreational) This has to be the most physically intense sport ever invented. It's high speed bicycle racing on a short off road course or riding the off pavement rides on gravel like : "Unbound Gravel". We also have a dedicated Racing forum for the Cyclocross Hard Core Racers.

Cyclocross ride report

How about making this a sticky thread since I bet many of us take our cross bikes on some epic/interesting rides. I rode 47 hot dry miles of the Columbia Plateau Trail here in eastern washington with over 40 miles of it was crushed gravel that heads into the Scab lands.

Yes it's mostly straight and flat but it does have some interesting views

Amber lake

This is what the Scab lands in Eastern WA look like

In other words its a day-tour on your bike that happens to be a cyclo-cross type bike ..

Looks like My Bike Friday would do as well on the gravel roads..

Still .. nice countryside.
