Question about going from alloy to carbon seat post on Focus Mares

I wanted to swap the alloy post with a carbon one I have laying around. The collar for the seat post is clamped with the bolt in the rear. I thought the bolt needed to be in the front for carbon? If so the rear brake cable goes through the seat post clamp so swapping it to the front is not an option. Is it ok to clamp a carbon post from the rear?

The position of the bolt doesn't matter, the only thing that matters is that it's not overtightened. I'm trying to figure out how the bolt would need to be in the front for carbon.
