I'm in the process of planning out my new ride... I'm thinking Surly Cross Check fixed/singlespeed flip flop, but I think it would be cool to get an Avid disc on the front end. As much for when I'm riding fixed as for off road riding with freewheel. I've seen a few different steel cross disc forks online:
Dimension for $57.00 Winwood for $195.00 Viscious cycles for $200.00 and a few more that run over $300.00 I'd like something durable, but don't want to spend more than $100.00. Is a Dimension fork worth it/durable enough? Are there any more steel disc forks out there for a reasonable price? |
disck fork? do not skimp, get a Vicious/IF or something equivalent. You'll want it to be properly aligned well built and to last.

I just got a Kona Project 2 for my hardtail. The website shows the disc model @ $80.00

I had zanotticycles.com install the disk tabs for the surly. Sysip powdercoated it for me. I ended up dropping 70 on that fork.
